Interested in being part of a Flash comic collab? Here's your chance!
This was an idea that flashwarrior and I came up with a while ago. If you feel you can contribute, please do!
Your task is simple: Select a part from the storyline provided and draw a comic representation of it in whatever style you like! You should try to loosely base the story's characters (links below) on the models below (drawn by flashwarrior), but keep in mind that these drawings are VERY ROUGH representations of the characters mentioned in the story above.
One of the key goals of this collab is to show different styles by different artists, so anyone who joins is free to draw the characters, objects, etc. in his or her own way.

If you choose to participate, there are several formatting guidelines you should follow. Here they are:
ULTRA-IMPORTANT GUIDELINES:
- Formatting: Use a stage size of 600 pixels wide by 700 high. Create a symbol and give it this name: "[username]_part". This symbol will contain the page symbols which make up your part. And each page symbol will contain the panel symbols. So each panel is a symbol, the panel symbols that make up a page are all stored in another page symbol, and the page symbols will be held in ANOTHER symbol, which should have one page on each of its frames.
Every named symbol created by you should have a name of the form "[username]_symbol" to avoid confusion when everything is all put together.
-Try to plan out what you will draw such that your panels completely fill up whatever pages you make. That means don't fill up a page halfway! Whole pages will be much easier to work with.
- You may draw panels either as static images or, if appropriate, as looping animations. For example, you can draw a walk cycle for a character that's walking, or clouds drifting through the sky. But if you do this, your animation MUST be a LOOP! Also, if you choose to animate a part of the comic, use a framerate of 30 FPS.
- Of course, make sure the drawings are nice looking!
- Make sure you read your part carefully because there are some important details that you can't miss!
- PLEESE chek yor speling! See how stupid that previous sentence looks? Spelling = IMPORTANT! However, feel free to use slang/slurred speech, such as "gonna," "wanna," if you think it's appropriate. Also, try to use good punctuation.
- The dialogue: you may either type it or write it by hand. But if you do it by hand, make sure it's neat.
- USE YOUR OWN STYLE! I know I've already mentioned this but, it's extremely important. Do NOT think you have to draw the characters exactly as they appear in the drawings provided! And PLEASE don't use any photographs for the graphics.
Other very important stuff:
We haven't decided on the specific character names yet. They aren't TERRIBLY important since the comic could be made without referring to any of them. However, if you'd like to suggest names for ANY of them, go right ahead! Just leave a comment or send me a PM.
I strongly recommend reading Part 1 of the story to get a general sense of the story's plot. Additionally, if you decide to take up one of the parts (the list of available parts is below), it's a good idea to have the whole story with you for reference. This will help create smoother transitions between parts, since collaborators most likely will not see other collaborators parts until everything is put together. Also, you don't have to follow the story word for word. Add in or change/substitute in anything that you think would work nicely, just don't mess with anything major that would affect the key parts of the story.
Humor is important! Be creative with everything, and avoid being generic! That means NO using overused Internet memes. They're funny in certain contexts, but for this story we'd rather not include any. However, there are NO restrictions on swearing, nudity, blood, or other things like that!
Deadlines
There's no definite deadline as of yet but it will definitely be after Clock Day (August 15th)
